1 motorcyclist dead after Highway 84 head-on crash

According to a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, just before 3 p.m. on Feb. 14, a fatal accident occurred in San Mateo County. A 40-year-old motorcyclist was killed in the wreck, which happened on a curve in Highway 84. Reports say that an eastbound 2003 Chevrolet Impala collided head-on into the westbound 2002 Honda motorcycle, hurling the man off the bike. Officials reported that the motorcyclist died at the scene.

California Highway 101 accident causes woman's death

An accident on Feb. 6 involving two vehicles claimed the life of one person on Highway 101. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, according to a California Highway Patrol representative, but drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been involved.

Woman dies, 3 injured in wrong-way collision on I-880

Law enforcement authorities with the California Highway Patrol reported that a 22-year-old woman was killed and three people suffered serious personal injuries in a wrong-way head-on collision on Interstate 880. The accident reportedly occurred on Feb. 6 at 12:34 a.m., just four minutes after a call came that a driver was driving the wrong direction on the interstate.
