SUV hits bicycle and tree in California, killing 3
In the afternoon on Oct. 23, the driver of a southbound SUV on Howe Avenue in Sacramento veered into the northbound lane, striking a 53-year-old bicyclist before running off the road and hitting a tree near the intersection of Birney Way. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of the SUV was traveling at a speed of at least 50 mph at the time of the crash.
2 high school students hit by car in crosswalk
Two teenagers were hit by a car near their high school in California on Oct. 16. The two female high school students were walking in a crosswalk when a car driven by a reportedly distracted driver hit them. Both girls suffered serious injuries.
Truck accident in Central California injures 2 truckers
A crash occurred on southbound Highway 99 near Le Grand on Oct. 7, reportedly. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 2:15 p.m. crash involved a car and two big rigs.
Alleged drunk-driving accident inflicts grave damage
Reportedly, a Sept. 28 accident near Reedley left one man dead and four other people with injuries. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash seemed to be highly intoxicated.
